Background

A major fleet client was recommended to engage with our partner Lightfoot as part of their risk management strategy. The introduction was made by Grant Irwin and Robert Wright at the SRIS Fleet Risk Management seminar held at the beginning of 2023.

Challenge

Robert and Grant championed the benefits of deploying a driver feedback telematic system across their fleet. Initially, the client was reluctant to make the necessary capital investment, but attended our Fleet Seminar event, where the Lightfoot team were presenting.

Upon hearing Lightfoot’s presentation at the event, they were convinced by the benefits and requested that they meet with the Lightfoot team.

Solution

Following a successful free trial, the company saw huge benefits in terms of information and control and could see how this would deliver tangible savings and improve its management controls. They then decided to deploy Lightfoot across their 500+ van fleet on a 5-year contract.

Outcome

The client was delighted with the deployment of the Lightfoot technology across their fleet which has not only helped reduce claims frequency but also delivered tangible savings in tire wear, fuel consumption, servicing costs, and reducing the company’s emissions.

The Lightfoot team will be presenting again at our next Fleet Risk Management seminar at Lloyd’s of London in November. A great example of how we add genuine value to clients and differ from our competitors.
