Background

Robbins Timber was founded in Bristol Docks in 1881 and has remained an independently owned merchant ever since. The company has seen significant change over the last century but has always remained committed to offering a high-quality product and service.

They are a major stockholder of timber products including hardwood, softwood and sheet material, as well as engineered and modified products. In short, they offer a one- stop-shop for timber products and related services as a specialist timber merchant.

Robbins Timber has adapted and modernised over time, understanding the market demands and need for speed. They have developed a large computer operated modern machining facility, that can offer a fully bespoke and intentionally flexible machining service, with minimal lead time. In addition, they can also offer other services such as, preservative treatment, priming, painting & coating and sheet material cutting.

Although still very much in the heart of Bristol, Robbins Timber’s core message is that they can handle any delivery, anywhere, with exceptional service. In their words “No customer too big or too small”.
